SwimNE have taken the difficult decision to suspend ALL lessons as of 8 pm 19th March 2020 for the time being due to the most recent advice from the Government. Although we are upset at the thought of cancelling lessons for the next few weeks, we fully appreciate that this is a positive move to enable us all to stay safe and return to lessons sooner.
We are currently looking at ways to reschedule lessons and extending the term. We will be in touch at a later date with information about this, once we know more about when we will be allowed to return to teaching. If we are unable to reschedule your lessons, we will be looking at deducting costs from future terms to reimburse everyone for the missed lessons.
With regards to payments, although we are unable to offer any refunds at this time, we have been in contact with our online booking and payment provider to freeze all subscriptions until we reopen. Your child’s class place will be saved and transferred on our return. You can rest assured that none of our customers will lose out financially because of this necessary closure.
We would ask you all to help us support our amazing team of teachers and keep SwimNE alive and kicking!
We are a small family business and have always relied on our amazing parents and children to help grow and support the business over the past 13 years and we would like to ask for your help again during this tough time.
Will my swimming lessons still be taking place?
Not for the time being. We are adhering to the Government guidance about non-essential social contact and travel and are cancelling all lessons until we receive word that it is safe to begin again.
I’m on Monthly Payments, will payments still be taken now that lessons are suspended?
As your lessons are temporarily suspended, there will be a freeze placed on your account and no further payments will be taken after 1st April. Everything will be held in place including any credit on your account until we are once again fully operational and of course we will give you notice when we are once again ready to start delivering lessons and taking payments.
What will happen to any credits that are on my account?
Those credits will still be on your account after this situation has passed and we are once again fully operational.
What happens if I or someone in my swimming lesson has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last two weeks?
If you are confirmed with a case of COVID-19, we would appreciate you telling us asap. Our response will be to contact Public Health England and ask them the right course of action at that time in terms of contacting those with whom you came into contact at our lessons. We will follow this course of action for anyone who contacts us to tell us they have been diagnosed.
If you have any questions/queries please do not hesitate to get in touch and we do our best to help.
From all the team at SwimNE
